Don Cheadle

Very mixed reaction to the news that Don Cheadle will replace Terrence Howard in the upcoming sequel to Iron Man. From Twitter:

  • I agree that neither Howard nor Cheadle really fit with the way I always visualized Rhodey, but both are excellent and Don will kick ass.
  • clearly I dig don cheadle. who doesn’t? he’s a superior thespian. but I cannot see him in iron man 2! bring back terrence!
  • Terrence Howard out of IRON MAN 2, Don Cheadle in. GOOD.
  • I refuse to believe that Don Cheadle has been recast as Rhodey in Iron Man 2. NO!
  • Don Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard in “Iron Man 2 ; Howard left franchise over financial differences

It would appear that lots of people are excited to go see Bill Maher’s new movie Religulous tonight. According to wikipedia, “Religulous is a film directed by Larry Charles and starring American political comedian Bill Maher, host of Real Time With Bill Maher on HBO. According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words “religion” and “ridiculous,” implying the satirical nature of the documentary that is meant to mock the concept of religion and the perceived problems it brings about.” Roger Ebert gives it 3 and a half stars. You can head over to Apple’s site to the trailer.
